February went by as it usually does in the Chitrakaar-Skurchk
household, but easier days would probably soon come as by the end of
the month this little critter would enter the next stage of her
life..
Ole Christian was happily playing with his favorite teddy bear.
Work and school called for everyone, and Nishit was excited this
morning since they had an excursion to the theatre. He was also in
dire need of a bath before he could go, so he didn't have time to eat
a proper breakfast.. hopefully they'll get served a nice meal at the
theatre. Their teacher for the occasion is Anny Guddal, one of the
local bartenders.
With everyone at school or work (and Madhunisha at home being watched after by a babysitter) I stopped by the park to see if anything was going on. It was pretty quiet with not to many people around. I only found Kajsa Tangstad, the drummer from 'The Bushweeds', enjoying a day of snowboarding.
Sofia wasn't at the fire station this time. She was hanging out at the local University College administration centre sharing some gossip with this guy, Clark Pincher-Peddler.
In spite of being tired and exhausted from caring for
Madhunisha, Dudleif manages to get another promotion again, is now at
level 8 of his career now working as a sketch artist. Well
done!
Though maybe, judging from this video,
maybe the requirements for the job aren't so high. ;)
Well, I'm impressed. I don't know how they can pull this off, but
Udisha got a promotion too, and is now a division manager at level 6
of her career. Congratulations, you're more than halfway there!
;)
After they got home they both needed a well deserved nap to salvage a little more energy so that they could celebrate Madhunishas birthday..
While his parents rested, Nishit was in his treehouse on the lookout for pirates, to make sure none would arrive to crash his sisters birthday party. ;)
Then it was time to get the party started. Sølvi Sjanto was the
first guest to arrive, early by a few minutes and in one of her
finest dresses, hoping perhaps that Dudleif would take note of her
presence. :P
Grandma Laranya was the second guest, not very impressed with the
cleanliness of her daughters house...
Nitya thought the same. "This place stinks! I can't
understand why they want to live like this..."
Palash went straight for what he thinks is one of the most
important things as he picked up Ole Christian to play with him.
;)
Then the moment came and Dudleif went upstairs to pick up
Madhunisha. It could have ended in a disaster as he tripped and
almost dropped her into the cake, but luckily it didn't go that way.
;) Happy first birthday, little one! You've made it through your
first year! :P
Udisha cheers for her little baby girl as Dudleif puts her on the
floor to let the magic happen.
Welcome to the age of toddlerhood, Madhunisha. There's a lot of
Dudleif in her, that's pretty apparent. Now which path in life will
this one take? Will she devote herself to a life of fighting crime
like her father, or become a businesswoman like her mother or her
weird uncle? Or maybe she'll follow her grandparents and get creative
– hopefully on the right side of the law!
Well, I suppose Udisha and Dudleif did their best to make it a
special event for their little girl, unfortunately this party can't
excactly be called a success.. Udisha began to boo at her own sister
for something and I don't really know why.. and most of the guests
left early, doing their best to be polite and said they enjoyed the
party..
..but it was pretty clear what they were all thinking. Even
Udishas own mom couldn't hide the disappointment..
"Disgusting..
is this how I raised my kids? Doesn't she have any shame? How can she
invite people over to celebrate her daughters birthday without even
trying to clean the house first?"
Even Palash rolled his eyes at the mess before he left the party as one of the last remaining guests..
...but you have to understand, Udisha wasn't made to be a housewife, that's not where her ambitions lie. ;) Which is evident as she had to rehearse one more time for the presentation she would hold at the office tomorrow after all the guests had left..
...while Dudleif, still exhausted and really tired, had gone
upstairs to go to sleep and put Madhunisha in her crib to get some
sleep.
Ole Christian was getting tired too, and asked his mom for a hug
and to carry him upstairs to his bed. It was sleep time for everyone
now..
Unfortunately he was so tired he couldn't make to his own bed and
fell asleep right there on the floor where Udisha put him
down..
..and finally the house was quiet again as snow began falling over
the town again to wrap everything into its own blanket one last time
before spring could arrive... good night. ;)

happenings:
Kajsa Tangstad, the drummer from the Bushweeds, has been promoted to doing back up vocals at her job.. in additon to the drumming of course. ;) Don't lose your breath now.. :P

Marianne Skurchks maiden name "Overbye"
is taken from the Danish serial killer Dagmar Overbye whom supposedly
murdered 25 children between 1913 and 1920. She received the death
sentence in 1921, which was later reduced to life in prison. She died
